I think I am going to go vegetarian after Easter and maybe eventually ease my way into being a vegan?? Probably not going to be a vegan honestly, but I am definitely going to start eating clean. No more processed crap, especially chips. Those are my downfalls. I love chips. But I am going to just eat kale chips and find other salty alternatives!
Wish me luck!

Clean Eats
Hoping to start getting back on track with clean eating and working out. Summer is coming fast and I would love to lose some weight before I hit the beach!

22
Well, I am 22 and I realized something very unfortunate and depressing on my birthday (I did have a pretty great birthday though)..
Last year before I transferred to Mankato, I was very fit and active in Moorhead. I was going to the gym everyday in the morning doing Weight Watchers and I began to feel very confident about myself and all that. I looked great and I felt great! Since I've transferred that has really gone down the pooper. I was scared of a new gym and a new environment. I've only gone to the gym a couple of times and I stopped doing Weight Watchers. I feel so unhappy about my body sometimes, even though I am a firm believer that everyone is beautiful, sometimes it's just hard.
I've been pretty down about my body and my activity level. I want to get back into shape, I'm just having a hard time getting motivated. I've been trying to go walk more and do more but then I get bummed out and blah! (It also does not help that I suffer from depression and it has gotten worse since transferring..)
So I decided that I do not want to waste year 22 of my life being sad about my body. I do not want to be unhappy, overweight, and inactive. I want to be 22, confident, healthy, and fit! So I've made a commitment to myself from now I am going to actively practice portion control, begin to work out more, and try to eat cleaner. So I am hoping that I don't give up on myself! I am ready to be happy and healthy again!
So here's to hoping that this year, I will lose the weight I gained and gain back the confidence I lost! I'm going to work as hard as I can. So I might need some external motivation at some points!
Until next time!

Why Is It So Cold?
A rant... by me because I am cold.
Well, since it is March I automatically assumed it was going to be nice all of a sudden and the snow would melt and it would be spring. This was a false assumption, which I really should have foreseen, but come on... Does it have to be THIS cold?
The worst part is that the weather taunted us with nice weather two weeks ago! I wore a sweatshirt to the bank! But now I have to bundle up in five layers to just walk to my car. I am not a happy camper
But I am also a happy camper in some respects because it is two days until my birthday, 22! Can't wait to hear Taylor Swift over and over.
Until next time.

DIY
I will admit that I am a DIY nut. I love DIY beauty and natural beauty. An example of natural beauty would be the fact that I use coconut oil instead of face moisturizer. It works wonders. My skin is rarely dry to the point where it is patchy, but if it is it is probably because I used my face wash (I only do this when I have a really bad breakout).
Anyway, what I'm really here to tell you all about is this coffee scrub I made the other day. Supposedly it is supposed to help with cellulite. I made it last night, a couple tablespoons of coffee grounds, some sugar, olive oil, and just a little jojoba oil. I used it all over my body in the shower this morning and the coffee smelled amazing and woke me up and it was wonderful! I used the scrub all over and my skin was glowing when I got out of the shower and it was soft and I was so happy with the results. I am going to continue making it and using it!
Recipe:
Kind of a guesstimated situation though..
3 Tablespoons of Coffee Grounds
2 Tablespoons of Sugar
2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
1 Teaspoon of Jojoba Oil (I don't use a lot of this because it's a little pricey)
Mix in an airtight container and then use in the shower!
Not sure if the coffee smell will wake you up at night though!
Until Next Time!

Next Week
OYE.
Next week does not look fun at all. I have four tests! Shoot! I've already started studying for two of them but geez, that is a lot of studying to do. On top of tests I have assignments and all that to do as well. I am not looking forward to the rest of this week and next week.
There is one saving grace of next week; it's my birthday! I am super excited to dance around my room and sing Taylor Swift's "22" early on Tuesday. I feel like that's the thing to do now. I am hoping to have a nice respite from studying on Tuesday and go get dinner with my boyfriend or something.
Also, the professor I thought didn't know I existed just waved at me. Well, guess I'm not invisible so that's a plus too!
Hoping some time management and all that will make the next week less scary!
Until next time.

The Longest Winter Ever
Hello all,
Welcome to my attempt at blogging...again. I usually start a blog and abandon it really quickly, but this time I am determined. So we will see how it goes.
Anyway,
so this past week, I can't remember which day, a blizzard hit the Mankato area! It was kind of nice, because it wasn't freezing so naturally my boyfriend and I went for a walk in the snow. It was really pretty! I brought along my fancy camera and took some pictures! Here are some of the pictures:
Over all we had a very nice walk together and as soon as we got home we had some hot coco!
I am honestly ready for winter to be over though, but it was nice to go out and take some pictures in the neighborhood.
Until next time!
